Battambang located in northwestern of Cambodia, the second most popular city in the country after Phnom Penh. The provincial capital has always been a popular destination to visit such as Battambang Historical Museum - Preah Bat Dambang Kra Nhoung (Kra Nhoung Stick King) continue to meet the villagers who make traditional products such as rice paper, bamboo sticky rice, fish paste and rice wine. Visit a memorial site for the victims of the Khmer Rouge in Samroung Khnong pagoda and finish by visiting Wat Ek Phnom temple.

 Visit giant statue of Ta Dambong Kra Nhoung (Kra Nhoung Stick King):

Ta Dambong Kra Nhoung was the founder of Battambang....., is on the roundabout at the south entrance to the Battambang city. This powerful Neak Ta, or spirit, is the guardian of the town and gives the town its name.

Phsar Prahok (Fish Paste)

Prahok is a crushed, salted and fermented fish paste that is used in Cambodian cuisine as a seasoning or a condiment. It originated as a way of preserving fish during the months when fresh fish was not available in abundant supply

Wat Samrung Khnong

It is located in the northeast part of the provincial town of Battambang, in Samrong Knong Village, Samrong Commune, Ek Phnom District.Wat Samrong Knong is one of the oldest pagodas in Battambang Province.It is approximately 5 km from Battambang Provincial Hall. Wat Samrong Knong was built in 1707 by Mr.Thudong Chey. Samrong is the name of a big tree that grew on the pagoda grounds with a diameter of two meters. It was a heritage of Thudong Chey later monks and scholars lived there. It can also be visited the killing caves where up to 10,000 souls lost their lives to the barbarism of the kymer rouge.


Wat Ek Phnom Phnom

Wat Ek Phnom is an angkorian temple located on the left bank of the Sangkae River near the G Peam Aek spot approximately 13 km north of the city of Battambang in north western Cambodia. It is a Hindu temple built in the 11th century under the rule of king Suryavarman I. Although partly collapsed and looted it is famous for its well-carved lintels and pediments.
